Tarkasis Saber: A Review

Friday, June 26th, 2009

Inspired by the recently arrived newest additions to my weapons collection, I thought I’d dish a little bit about Calimacil’s Tarkasis Saber. Sabre. Whatever.

First, the basics. The Tarkasis is a short sword a bit more straight-bladed than your average saber, resembling almost a slim machete. measuring a compact 32″ from pommel to tip, this straight saber should be any forresters weapon of choice. So instead, I’ll just give a quick recap of my own experience.

As a fan of swords, we just received the information about a new documentary that is dedicated to the object of our passion: swords.

In the trailer you will notice Kit Rae, one of the most respectable sword designers we know, and many other great sword specialist. The movie is available online only.

Anyone had the chance to see it?
