As you may know Videogames are currently holding my interest (Shadow of the Colossus at the moment, BTW. Yeah yeah, I know, I’m a little behind. I’ve got a busy life dammit!)? A treatise on battle tactics? I’d love to start some kind of discussion on the pros and cons of dual wielding or sword-and-board fighting versus two-handed weapons, but you guys are going to have to prove to me that you can fill up the comments section first.

For what it’s worth, Borderlands is finally going to be available for download today on Steam (whats that? You play shooters on a CONSOLE? Oh, how precious…), so I know what I’ll be doing for the next few days.  I’m willing to bet there’s a few people here interested in hearing about the bastard love-child of an FPS and an RPG. I heard one reviewer describe it as “ok… if you like Diablo II with guns”.

Recently I had a discussion with my team on the blade tips. Should we make them longer, shorter or thicker? Once again we bring back to table the contentious debate about what is a safe tip sword for LARP. This question is raised to us on a regular basis and here are the answers my team have come up with.
