Here is the new Odo mace which is already available on our site since a month now. I create this weapon with a simple design in purpose to make it easy to build. That allows us to offer it at a lower cost!

The mace is 32 inches (81 cm) long. When I started the design I wanted to do a mass that could be used over a long period of medieval history.
A funny things; I recently found on the website of a Belgian museum (unfortunately I lost the link), a photo of a real model which look likes what I did without knowing it.
The name of Odo was suggested by Micael from Calimacil team. I think this is very appropriate because the name came from a clerk (religious) who fought at the Battle of Hastings in 1044 during Normans invasion in England. (Not to be confused with Odo, the Changelings from Star Trek). The historical Odo was depicted on the famous tapestry of Bayeux (known by the Queen Matilda) recounting the deeds of this war.

Here a picture zooms from the tapestry on which we can see Odo who fights with a mace.
Sneak peek: I am currently working on a new saber for the squire collection, I’ll post pictures soon.
Let me know what you think of Odo!
